RAVEN EYE 2 by Flow-Tronic is a non-contact radar area-velocity flow meter designed for flow measurement in open channels. Manufactured by Flow-Tronic, it combines state-of-the-art, non-contact measurement technology. The sensor measures flow velocity at the water surface. The data can be easily integrated into existing SCADA or telemetry systems. The sensor is certified for use in hazardous areas, subject to the applicable approval.
Radar area-velocity flow sensors have been used for many years. So, what makes the RAVEN EYE 2 by Flow-Tronic so revolutionary? Thanks to state-of-the-art design, development and production methods, a high-quality, next-generation radar sensor has been developed at an affordable price. Flow-Tronic passes this advantage on to its customers. The name was chosen for a reason. The raven stands for intelligence, adaptability and resilience.
The RAVEN EYE 2 by Flow-Tronic is installed above the medium being measured and can be used in partially filled pipes and channels for all types of water, including heavily polluted water. The water level is measured separately using an ultrasonic, radar or pressure sensor. The flow rate is then calculated using the continuity equation: Q = V × A.
