The Loc-150Tx, 150 Watt transmitter is mainly used with the Defect Mapper receiver, but is also useful for those who need a low frequency, powerful transmitter. Typically, the Loc-150Tx transmitter is used to apply a signal current to the anode bed. The pipeline returns the signal to the transmitter via coating defects. The Loc-150Tx transmitter is designed to be powered by CP (cathodic protection) stations, alternating current or external batteries. This transmitter has only terminals for direct connection to the line to transmit the locating frequency. There is no mode for signal clamps or induction. The Loc-150Tx transmitter has selectable direct connection frequencies from 98Hz to 640Hz. The 2-inch LED-backlit display shows output current, voltage, frequency and overvoltage/overtemperature/overcurrent warnings. Two rotary / pressure knobs provide access to frequency selection, output level, menu information and active or stand-by mode. This transmitter is supplied with a connection line, a 12V DC input line and an AC mains cable.
