The extension rod for transmitter pliers is made of non-conductive plastic with male and female threads at the opposite ends to screw several rods together, or to screw it directly into the transmitter clamp. With the extension rod, the clamp attached to it can be safely used on overhead lines, lines in trenches or in shafts. The extension rod is equipped with a 6 mm male threaded bolt. This external thread is screwed into the handle of the transmitter pliers to increase the distance to the pliers.
