A plunging bell is basically nothing more than a small tube (Ø 17 mm) closed on one side. When the bell touches the liquid level at some speed, a "plop" sound is heard. This sound is normally clearly perceptible down to a depth of approx. 10 m. When a certain depth is reached, the bell will move up and down over shorter distances. Accuracy ±0.5 cm.
The measuring tapes available in different lengths are suitable for use with the diving bell (part no. 11010202 length 5 m and 11010203 length 10 m).
