The Aqua TROLL 700 and 800 Antifouling Restrictor prevents biological fouling from accumulating on the Aqua TROLL Multiparameter Sonde. A specially-formulated copper alloy prevents biological organisms from attaching and growing on the sonde, improving data accuracy and extending deployments for up to 6 weeks in extreme environments.
In addition to the copper alloy exterior, the Aqua TROLL 700 and 800 Antifouling Restrictor is carefully prepared with an accelerated aging process performed in the factory to simulate the changes from field deployment. This ensures that measurements are unaffected by changes in appearance over time in long-term deployments in high-fouling environments. Calibrations with the antifouling restrictor are performed with an included calibration sleeve to exactly match deployment conditions.
