The oil / water interface meter Sm.OIL has the same functionality as the H.OIL. This compact device comes in a single tape length (20m or 60 ') on a small, hand-held frame designed for easy portability. The Premium Padded Carrying Case is included to protect your precision instrument from the elements.
The Sm.OIL is used to measure the interfacial level between two liquids in the same tank, well or aquifer. The unequal density of two liquids means that the lower density non-conducting product (LNAPL) will float on the higher density (water) conductive liquid. Denser products tend to sink (DNAPL), creating a layer underwater.
The hydrocarbon-resistant, Kynar-coated, high-strength steel core tape is resistant to hydrocarbons, solvents and other aggressive contaminants. The intrinsically safe CSA certification makes the Sm.OIL ideal for use in hazardous environments in the oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical industries.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Certified - Intrinsically Safe to CSA and ANSI / UL Standards, Class 9098-1 or 9098-81 (USA) for Hazardous Areas and Class I Groups A, B, C and D.

  • Electronic module (IP65) - Automatic shutdown after 10 minutes, removable for easy cleaning and maintenance. Circuits and components are potted to protect against ingress of moisture and dust
